Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
This AUP governs the use of the Codsall & Wergs internal IT infrastructure and API gateways for message delivery.
1. B2B and Internal Use Only
The C&W Unified Operations platform is strictly a Business-to-Business (B2B) and internal enterprise service. It is designed solely for authorized employees, verified IT integrators, and official sub-contractors of Codsall & Wergs Garden Centre. Public or consumer access to the API generation endpoints is strictly prohibited.
2. Nature of Permitted Traffic (Transactional Exclusivity)
To maintain infrastructure integrity and ensure 99.99% SLA, all payloads routed through our MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) network must be strictly Transactional. Permitted use cases include, but are not limited to:
- System Alerts & Workflow Notifications: Internal IAM alerts, 2FA tokens, and server health status updates.
- POS E-Receipts: Digital receipts generated at our physical registers (e.g., Garden Furniture sales).
- Service Confirmations: Greenhouse Kitchen table bookings, cancellations, and modifications.
MARKETING PROHIBITION: The use of this infrastructure for newsletters, promotional offers, or any form of marketing communications is strictly forbidden and structurally blocked at the gateway level.
3. Zero Tolerance Spam Policy
Codsall & Wergs enforces a Zero Tolerance Spam Policy. We do not permit the transmission of unsolicited email (UCE). Under no circumstances may users:
- Utilize purchased, rented, or third-party email lists.
- Engage in "cold outreach" or sales prospecting.
- Bypass bounce-handling mechanisms or suppress hard-bounce webhooks.
4. Mandatory Account Verification & Opt-In
All external recipients (e.g., Garden Centre customers receiving receipts) must have provided explicit consent at the physical point of sale or via our primary booking portal. For any digital account creation, a Double Opt-In (Confirmed Opt-In) workflow is mandatory. The API requires a valid `opt_in_source` parameter in the JSON payload to process the request.
5. Abuse Reporting & Escalation
We actively monitor our outbound queues. If you believe our infrastructure is being abused, or if you have received an unsolicited transactional alert, please contact our postmaster team immediately.
